Working Principle
The track traveling mechanism is widely used in field operation vehicles such as construction machinery and tractors. The track contacts the ground while the drive sprocket does not contact the ground.
When the motor drives the drive sprocket to rotate, the sprocket continuously winds the track from the rear through the meshing between the sprocket teeth and the track chain under the driving torque of the reducer. The ground-contacting part of the track exerts a backward force on the ground, and the ground correspondingly gives the track a forward reaction force, which is the driving force pushing the machine forward. When the driving force is sufficient to overcome the traveling resistance, the track rollers roll forward on the upper surface of the track, thus driving the machine forward. The front and rear tracks of the whole machine can be steered independently, resulting in a smaller turning radius.
