What New Undercarriage Tech Launched at Bauma 2026? | MAGEON
Bauma 2026: The Global Innovation Hub for Construction Machinery
Bauma 2026, the world’s largest construction machinery exhibition held in Munich, attracted over 600,000 visitors from 200 countries, and revealed clear future trends for track undercarriage technology. The most noticeable innovations include hydraulic telescopic chassis, hybrid steel-rubber tracks, and intelligent sensor-equipped undercarriage systems, which attracted over 200 potential customers to our booth during the 6-day exhibition.

The Pain Point of Traditional Fixed-Width Chassis
Traditional fixed-width chassis face a long-standing transportation problem in Europe: most regional road regulations limit the transport width to 2.5m. For small drilling rigs and compact cranes, their standard working chassis width is often over 3m, which means contractors have to disassemble the tracks before transport, and reassemble them on site. This process usually takes 2 workers 2 full days, costing over €1,500 in labor and logistics cost per transport.
To solve this, MAGEON launched a fully hydraulic telescopic rubber track undercarriage that can adjust width automatically from 800mm to 1450mm in just 30 seconds. The narrow mode fits standard road transport regulations perfectly, while the wide mode provides extra stability for heavy drilling work on soft soil, increasing the machine’s lifting capacity by 25%.

Hybrid Steel-Rubber Tracks: The Best of Both Worlds
Meanwhile, our hybrid steel-rubber track system combines the high load capacity of steel tracks and the road-friendly feature of rubber tracks. We did a series of tests before the exhibition: on asphalt pavement, the hybrid track leaves no visible scratch, with a surface indentation of only 0.01mm, which means it won’t damage urban roads. On rocky quarry terrain, the wear resistance of the hybrid track is 2.1 times that of standard rubber tracks, with a service life of over 2000 working hours.
It solves the long-standing problem that single material tracks can only adapt to limited working conditions. Industry analysts predict that these innovative undercarriage products will take up 35% of the compact machinery market by 2030, and MAGEON has already received 12 意向 orders from European dealers during the exhibition.
